Presentation Help

<p style="background: linear-gradient(180deg, #ffffe0 1%, #FFD1CC 43%, #A9D7CA 100%) transparent; width:500px; height: 500px; margin:auto; text-align:center;color:#B6B6B6; font-size: 15px;"><span style="font-size:15px;">I hope this helps</span></p>

Okay, so the red is the angle of the gradient background.
The orange is the colour code.
The green is the percentage of how much you see of that colour (and blending).
The blue is important stuff for making the background gradient.
The indigo is the width and height (stardoll presentations can go to a maximum of 540px width I believe)
The purple centers your presentation and text - you can also use left or right.
And the rest is basic stuff you should already know.

<p style="background-color:#DEDEDE; width:500px; margin:auto; text-align:center;color:#B6B6B6; font-size: 15px;" title="© Skittle.Fashion">
<span style="font-size:36px;">Title</span> <span style="background-color:#FFFFFF;margin-left: 20px;  color: #000000; float: left; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS',Arial; font-size: 12px; margin-top: 15px; padding: 0px; text-align:center; width: 460px;height: 100px; overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden;" title="© Skittle.Fashion">write here your text<br />......</span> </p>

The red is what makes a scroll box.
The orange is needed to make a new section.
The green will make the box move left (or right if you change it to that) or up more.
The blue will make the box "float" either left, right or center.

<img src="http://www.sdcdn.com/camera/419/974/419974880.jpg" alt="" height="250" width="300"></span><span style="background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.5; margin-left: 51px; color: #FFA62F; float: left; font-family: Calibri, 'Century Gothic', 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: 36px; margin-top: -60px; text-align: center; width: 400px; height: 50px; overflow: hidden;" title="© Skittle.Fashion - No Sticky Paws!">

The red is for the image - if you don't know how to do this you simply find an image you like on Stardoll, right click and go down to "View Images Info". It should automatically take you to the code you'll need, so just copy that and page into that section.
The orange changes the height and width of the image (incase you need to resize)
The green will make the image either more intense or less visible.
The blue changes the outside width and height of the image (like a border)

Other stuff that could be useful:
border-radius: 10px; -  makes edges rounded, you can add more. Eg, 10px 15px 50px 40px, which will make each of the corners more rounded.
box-shadow: 4px 3px 5px; OR box-shadow: inset 4px 3px 5px; - this will create a shadow either outside or inset will create a shadow inside your presentation.
" title=" made by...." - will make a tag, eg. you hover over my presentation and you'll see "© Skittle.Fashion - No Sticky Paws!". I generally add this part at the end of my codes.
-moz-transform: rotate(-355deg); - this will rotate your whole presentation or a specific box/area to whatever angle.

New Pretty n Love Floral Collection

Hello everyone,

Firstly, I wanted to say that I am incredibly sorry for not posting in such a long time. I have been quite busy with school and other social events. Hopefully I will find the time in the future to post more!

Now, back to the new Pretty n Love Floral Collection.

I think it has some very nice and unique items that will create fabulous outfits.
I had a play around with various clothes from the collection and using the same shoes and purse, and I created some cute but sophisticated outfits that are all under 40 Stardollars.

What do you guys think??

Comment your opinion and maybe even some styling tips!

Thank you,

Kate xx

Lolita Explained

Hey all,
I haven't posted in a few weeks so I thought
I'll do a new post for ya'll.

So lately on stardoll there have been alot of lolita inspired items, particular gothic lolita.
What is lolita you ask?
Well in this post I will explain all about lolita, and the different types of lolita.

Lolita is a type of fashion that orignated from Japan, the style is inspired by the Victorian-era of clothing and the Rococo (18th century artist movement and style). The fashion was originally thought to have been partly created to react against the growing exposure of the body and skin in modern society. So instead of people presenting themselves as "sexy", it is said that they are actually presenting themselves as "cute" or "elegant".

So if you hear/read someone they love "Japanese street fashion" or typically dress in this style, lolita is also part of that type of fashion.

If you'll like to know more about Lolita, such as the different type of styles/looks please click here (all rights goes to the correct owner/s)
Example of a typical Gothic Lolita outfit wore by Skittle.Fashion (my doll).

3 Basics Outfits

Hey everyone,

How have your holidays been?

Anyways, I noticed that Stardoll brought out new Basics Decor, I think it looks really nice. There is so many things in the new collection, best one so far I'd say.
Also, a while ago Stardoll released new clothes, quite a variety of things actually.
I like most of the items there and I have bought quite a bit so down below are 3 outfits I put together using some of my favourite items.

Cute and Playful
Casuel and Neat
Stylish and Unique

Of course you could vary the colours but make sure if you do, it does not look like someone drank 10 litres of Rainbow milk and then vomited on you.

Hope you enjoyed this post guys,

Tips on getting NCG/NCB

Hello everyone,
Well as promised I am going to give tips on how to win National Covergirl or Coverboy.
As many of you know this is a title that give you stardoll "fame" for a day... or more.

So how do I win, you ask. If you read below, there will be some simple tips to follow.

First of all I will talk about the different way of winning this title, this includes.
  •  Advertising - spamming people either via guestbook, chat or parties.
  • Broadcasting - spending alot of broadcast will get you fame & possibly the title.
  • Winning a placement for something - such as Catwalk, or Top Design
  • Being on the Top Designers list - this maybe almost impossible, thanks to all the cheaters.
  • Getting mentioned in a blog - this could be a blog such as this or StarBlog (blog on Stardoll)
  • Being Lucky - Some people win by pure luck.

Now how should your doll and suite look?
This question has a different answer depending on which country you are from and the method you have chosen. If you're from Japan, Christmas Island, or other countries like that, you're outfit and suite look doesn't matter that much, however I have noticed that winners from these countries are either unique or cosplaying (dressed up as an anime/game characters). For countries like Australia, America and United Kingdom, doll are generally very well dressed, although from time to time there are unique doll who win. These countries suites aren't always "top suites" though, so don't worry if you're suite doesn't look like you spent weeks on it.

Which method is best to use?
I find broadcasting or getting a placement on Catwalk the easiest, as I'm not a fan of spamming people, although I did do it when I was doing the academy thing. However, you may find a different method easier. Although I would like to mention it will most likely be almost impossible to get into the Top Designers list, as most of you know, it's full of cheaters.

If I decide to advertise what should I write?
I've personal never used this method, and probably never will, but if I were I would write something short, sweet and truthful.

So basically something like: Hello, today I am running for NCG/NCB for "Your Country Here" and I was wondering if you could take a moment of your time to please vote me, thank so much if you do.

Over something like this: Hey, you have such a beautiful suite and doll, 5/5 honey, your so beautiful, I was wondering if you could vote my doll for NCG/NCB for "Your Country Here", ectera, ectera, and yet again 5/5 your beautiful.

These people don't normally get my vote, I delete the message on my guestbook or simple write "yeah, sure" and don't bother voting, or ignore them if there via chat. I find them annoying, untruthful, and most of them seem like they go on forever.

What do you mean by "Win by luck"?
This just means some people win by pure luck, they don't advertise, or win anything, there just lucky enough to win somehow. Sometimes this is due to the fact that they are "stardoll famous", however not everyone that wins via luck, is "stardoll famous"

What if I never win?
I believe in "never giving up" so that would be my advise for you, if you believe you can win, I'm sure you'll win sooner or later.

Last bit of advise, if you're having alot of trouble winning you can join clubs that have competitions to have chosen "covergirls" or ask you're friends if they can either advertise for you (via there presentation, advertising, ect).

I hope that this will help some of you's, I know that it's not exactly non-superstar helpful, but there are some methods that non-superstar members can use.

P.S: This will be last post, most likely, for a long time, I will try and post at least once a week, but no promises, as I might be rather busy and uninspired.
