Tips on getting a placement on the Catwalk

Hey All,
Today I decided to give some tips on how to get a placement on the Catwalk.

I have been 2nd, 4th and 6th on the Catwalk, so I have a small amount of experience on getting a placement on this title.

Okay first of all, picking clothing:
Pick something stylish, but make sure its still you.
For example, if you're a girly girl, pick things that represent this, such as a cute dress with some heels and prehaps add a bag or some jewerelly. These tips may not work if you're someone who has big hair, and way too much clothing, the main point is to look stylish, like a model, or unique, yet stylish, not something out of horror movie.

Secondly, does you hair and makeup match?:
Your hair and makeup can make or break the outfit. I am well aware that not everyone can buy makeup, but there a plenty of items you can buy (such as false lashes) that will make it seem as if you doll is wearing some makeup. With hair it's best to stick with natural haircolours, so that means stay clear of bright or unnatural colours (some unnatural colours are okay, such as some reds). Yet again, don't go overboard, you don't want to look like a horror movie.

Thirdly, make sure everything matches:
If something doesn't look right, change whatever it is until you find something that look perfect. So if you're hair looks to long for the outfit, but you want the length try a different hairstyle that has the length you want.

Lastly, wait until you see a new winner:
If you live in Australia the new Catwalk winner is currently announced during the late afternoon, however, sometimes it is during the morning. Just keep checking to see if there is a new winner. If you live overseas, like the UK or something this will be the morning for you.

If you don't win that day:
Don't give up, keep trying, either with the same outfit or with a new outfit.
Just because you didn't win straight away doesn't mean the outfit wasn't good.

If you do win that day:
Well done, next up you'll probably win National Covergirl/boy for your country, and possibly have the change to be in the Top 5 of becoming Covergirl/boy.

That is it for this post, let me know if this helps anyone.

Next time, I'll probably do a post about tips on winning National Covergirl/boy
